We are desperately working, so that it doesnt continue!  The reasons are clear from the facts below.

If you would like to help us, we would be so grateful. You can donate, which will help us with the many dogs we have saved from the pound and the legal fees we need, to continue with the case. We are acting as fast as we can now, we cannot rescue any more and the dogs should not be suffering like this!

  • A local municipal dog pound is owned by a private company that specialises in sanitation and fertiliser products!
  • it has no credentials, expertise, or interests in animal welfare
  • The row of kennels is inadequate for the amount of dogs that are collected.
  • The company has contracts with between 8 and 10 municipalities, from as far as over 100 kilometres away
  • no facilities for the animals they collect; no clinic, no veterinary equipment, nothing at all to support sick or injured animals, of which there are many collected and also who become sick in the pound.
  • the pound vet administers rabies vaccinations without examinations, therefore has given to sick dogs, causing them to be unable to fight illness. Many that were rescued by us have died
  • parvo virus has infected the unit, it has not been acknowledged and no steps have been taken to sanitise and clear of the virus to date
  • lost dogs, peoples pets are taken there and can become ill
  • no open times, the gates are permanently locked, no system to let people look for their lost pets, difficult to request even by phone
  • no public notices, or information about the pound for public awareness.
  • dogs collected and known of by associations have disappeared without explanation, or trace.
  • dogs have died of alleged and mysterious accidents, or simply disappeared un-registered
  • no facilities or contract to put dogs to sleep after the standard time for a dog in a pound, yet the dogs are gone after this time.
  • no adoption resource, or process
  •  dangerous breed dogs are coming and going – not via adoptions
  • closed to visitors with locked gates, dogs unattended 90% of the time.
  • many complaints and reports from citizens, that cannot be publicised
